Jakarta illegal levies eradication unit (UPPL) together with Saber Pungli illegal levies sweeping task force, conducted monitoring and evaluation (monev) in Thousand Islands, on Friday (12/10).
It was carried out door-to-door at integrated mobile service ship (PTK) and Untung Jawa Island Urban Village office, South Thousand Islands Sub-district, as well as Thousand Islands investment and one-stop integrated service (UP PM-PTSP) office, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands Sub-district.

It aimed at ensure Saber Pungli socialization which had previously been held some time ago was effective.
"Alhamdulillah, pungli case in Thousand Islands this year is zero. Hopefully, this is a good sign that the entire Thousand Islands apparatus has served with care according to the procedure and there are no other levies outside the existing provisions," he expressed.
He went on to say that it can be realized by collaborating with all parties, including the community in its monitoring.
"People here are very enthusiastic about welcoming Saber Pungli Team's visit, which ensures public services run are accountable, transparent and do not burden the community," he explained.
Comr. Pol. Adhi Satya Perkasa, Chief of Handling of Kemenkopolhukam for Political, Legal and Security, appreciated and hoped that the future public service could be even better through innovations that make it easier for residents to access it.
"Through public services such as PTK Ships, it can be a separate added value that doesn't exist elsewhere, can boost it to get the title of city/district that is free of pungli, as it is transparent," he explained.
Junaedi, Regent of Thousand Islands expressed his gratitude for the support and motivation for Thousand Islands Regency to become part of the local government that is free from pungli.
"Hopefully, Saber Pungli team's visit provides motivation and improve good service here," he hoped.
